Meet Our Team Leaders
Greg Zimmerman, Owner
For most of his life, Greg Zimmerman has been working in the family business. As a child, Greg followed his dad, company founder Milton Zimmerman, to the job sites. In his teens, he began working summers full-time for Zimmerman Construction. Upon Milton's retirement in 1979, Greg acquired the company and continues to offer only the highest degree of professional work and service.
Greg has been directly involved in developing a number of neighborhoods in Bellevue, including: Brinker Street, Shumaker Drive, Douglas Drive, Gregory Court, as well as East Thompson, East Drew, and Zimmerman Drive in Clyde.
Greg is an active member of the Ohio Home Builders Association (OHBA), the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), the Bellevue Area Chamber of Commerce, the North Coast Building Industry Association (NCBIA), and the Erie County Chamber of Commerce. He served as past president of the Erie County Home Builders Association and currently serves on the board of directors. In addition, Greg participates in the annual Remodelers Executive Roundtables and attends numerous seminars and trade shows each year. Greg and his family are active in their church and community.
Greg Zimmerman recently joined a select group of professional builders, remodelers, and other industry professionals when he was designated as a Certified Green Professional™ (CGP) by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). He is now the only CGP in the greater Sandusky area. Courses include training on how green homes provide buyers with lower energy costs and higher value, as well as strategies for incorporating green-building principles into homes without driving up the cost of construction.

Our History
Milton Zimmerman, the founder of Zimmerman Construction Company, entered the construction business in 1950. He spent almost a half-century in the industry and was involved with several large projects. Milton was responsible for the development of many outstanding neighborhoods in both the Bellevue and Clyde areas. In fact, he built more than 500 homes and 100 apartments during his career.
A Man of Service
As a navigator and bombardier in the Air Force during World War II, Milton was part of the D-Day invasion of France. He was justifiably proud of his military career and was a member of the 9th Air Force Association and the American Air Museum in Britain. His experience in the military was just the first step in a life-long commitment of service to others.
A Civic Leader
Milton already understood the importance of economic development when it became a community priority with the closing of GE Lamp in the 80s. At the time, Milton was a director of the Bellevue Chamber of Commerce. He joined with other business leaders to form the Bellevue Development Corporation. From 1983 to 1996, Milton served in a number of capacities in both organizations, including vice president and president, and often served on both boards at the same time.
Milton held a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Ohio State University. He was a Rotarian and a Paul Harris Fellow of Rotarian International, as well as a Mason and a Shriner. He was also an elder, trustee, and Chairman of the Congregation of St. John's Lutheran Church.
Milton passed away in 1998. He is greatly missed, but his legacy lives on.
